Over the weekend the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Foo Fighters[/lastfm] took the stage at a small club in Santa Barbara, Calif. to debut songs from their upcoming album. When taking the stage [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dave Grohl[/lastfm] asked the crowd, “You guys wanna hear the new record?” and ripped through the new album in full, which was produced by the man that was produced [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nirvana[/lastfm]‘s ‘Nevermind’ producer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Butch Vig[/lastfm] in Grohl’s garage.
The new album is scheduled to hit shelves in April according to RCA Records, but the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Foo Fighters[/lastfm] have yet to announce an official title for the release. Like a social media treasure hunt, the band gave out clues to where the performance would take place via his Twitter account and have hinted at another one very soon.
