Oprah Winfrey has confirmed that the final episode of her long running talk show will air on May 25. The episode will wrap up an impressive 25-year stint for “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and, according to the media mogul, she is already working on the final episodes.

During a recent update via Twitter, Oprah revealed that she is “hard at work planning the final shows” but has not yet announced her final guests. New shows are scheduled to begin airing on April 7 and the host will show re-runs until that time.

Winfrey announced her departure from the show in 2009 and since then has launched her own television network the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The network launched earlier this year and recently made headlines after juggling their schedule due to slumping ratings.

OWN executives recently moved the network’s signature show from Friday at 8 p.m. to the more viewer-friendly Sunday night spot.
