The TV Land Awards show took place this past weekend that honored classic television show such as Laverne & Shirley, One Day at a Time, and Murphy Brown.

Laverne & Shirley, which was presented the Fan Favorite Award, included stars Cindy Williams, Penny Marshall, Michael McKean and David Lander. Marshall described the show as being relatable to everyday people.

The Innovator Award was presented to the cast of One Day at a Time. The televisions series, which ran for nine seasons on CBS, followed a single mother who raised two daughters in Indianapolis who had different dynamics in their personalities.

The cast of Murphy Brown received the Impact Award for raising such hot-topic issues particularly a woman’s decision to raise a child alone. (Remember former VP Dan Quayle’s criticism about that?)

The show, which was hosted by Kelly Ripa, will air on TV Land on April 29th at 8pm CST.
