Robert Plant took a spill when a deranged fan stormed the stage during his performance in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 1. The stage invasion happened while Plant and his band, The Sensational Space Shifters, were finishing their take on Led Zeppelin‘s classic “Rock And Roll.” The man rushed the stage, but security quickly tackled him and shut down his attempt to approach the former Zeppelin frontman. However, in the midst of the scuffle, the 64-year old Plant lost his balance and was knocked to the floor. But Plant responded to the threat saying, “Easy, easy” in hopes that the security and roadies wouldn’t rough up the young man.
A Plant performance that went more smoothly was Led Zeppelin’s 2007 reunion concert. That show will be released as the Celebration Day live concert DVD/CD on November 19. Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page has said that the band will be reissuing their catalog in 2013.
As for Plant and the Sensational Shape Shifters, they have an album that’s expected to be released in the next few months. And that’s in addition to a different album of songs that Plant working on with Buddy Miller.
