“The Fast And The Furious” Star Paul Walker Dies In Fiery Car Accident

CBS Local has confirmed that actor Paul Walker, 40, was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle car crash in Santa Clarita, CA. He was best known for his starring role in the “Fast and Furious” film franchise.

Earlier today, Walker and his car shop “Always Evolving” were hosting a charity event to help raise money for the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines as well as a toy drive for needy kids for the holidays.

Walker was a passenger in the Porsche that crashed.

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 28300 block of Rye Canyon Loop in Valencia, and he was the passenger in the Porsche that was found engulfed in flamed. When The LA County Fire Dept. extinguished the fire, both victims were found and declared dead at the scene.

Walker’s Twitter and Facebook accounts also confirmed his death.
