There are some real good people at Chicago’s Tree House Humane Society, and the story of a little kitten named “Stockings” is proof.

The cat had a pretty bad birth defect when someone dropped him off. He was born with his legs extended so far backwards, it seemed they were on backwards. This prevented him from being able to walk.

The people at Tree House went above and beyond the call of duty and found a vet that specializes in fixing this kind of thing.  That vet was able to fix the cat’s legs and now Stockings is doing just fine.

In fact, Stockings is doing so well that he’s been adopted.  One of the vet techs that helped treat Stockings fell in love with him and decided to take the kitty home forever!

I love happy endings.
