When Is A Dead Tree Not A Dead Tree? When It’s Art!

If you’re wondering why some of the dead trees in Jackson Park, Washington Park and other places haven’t been cut down, well it’s because they are works of art.

The Chicago park District has commissioned some artists to make pieces of art out of some of the dead trees in parks around the city.

The ones in Washington Park and Jackson Park are centered around birds, but the “tree art” around the city all have different themes.

And you thought that dead trees should be chopped down! They’re “art” apparently!
