He Was America’s Top Male Vocalist For 20 Years – Today Is His Birthday

He was born in Brooklyn January 24, 1941.  Although Neil Diamond is his real name, he once considered changing it to Noah Kaminsky.

Neil charted 56, Top-100 hits between 1966 & 1986 and was the top male vocalist in the USA during that period.

Singer, guitarist and prolific composer,  he wrote for The Monkees TV show and starred in The Jazz Singer.

His first record* would peak at #55 in 1966 and was re-released in 1970, topping out at #21 that year.
