Mary Tyler Moore Co-Starred In Elvis Presley’s Last Movie?

Mary Tyler Moore is best known for her roles in the Dick Van Dyke show and of course The Mary Tyler Moore show.  However, there’s more to her story than those TV shows alone.

The last Dick Van Dyke show aired in 1966 and the Mary Tyler Moore show made its debut in 1970.

Just before that, in 1969 Mary Tyler Moore played Sister Michelle in the movie Change Of Habit.  That’s right, she was a nun!  Dr. John Carpenter was non other than Elvis Presley (in his last film).

That’s not all that makes the movie unique.  The role of Lt. Moretti was played by Edward Asner!  Shortly thereafter he would become Lou Grant, Mary’s boss on the Mary Tyler Moore show.
