Forgotten Favorites Friday: The Top Group Of 1969

Known for its swamp rock sound, many thought this American band was from the South.  They actually got together while attending high school in El Cerrito, California.

In less than two years, the four-man band would chart five #2 hits, but none of their songs made it to the #1 position.

In 1969 they were the most successful rock group in the country.  At their peak, only the Beatles were bigger.

So, what’s their name already? Creedence Clearwater Revival of course!
