Saturday Night Sizzle: ‘Slow Ride’ By Foghat

You are talking about a real ’70s classic here… from 1975 “Slow Ride” by Foghat.

This song has appeared on TV and in movies, including ‘Dazed and Confused’ and of course ‘Seinfeld’.

The album version is over 8 minutes long. Lonesome Dave Peverett was the original lead singer, but he died in 2000. Today Chuck Huhn is the man.

Did you know: Foghat got their name when Peverett came up with the word while playing a Scrabble-like game with his brother? Peverett convinced the band to go with it instead of Brandywine.

Check out the video below! … and listen for the song every weekend, as it’s a staple on Saturday Night Sizzle.
