Midwest Rockers Biggest Hit Comes From This ’80s Movie

Bob Seger was born in Dearborn, Michigan and grew up in Detroit. Years later, the Beatles would become a major influence on his career. His first hit record (Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man) was released in 1968 and peaked at #17 on the national charts.

He left music to attend college in 1969 and returned in 1970. He formed the Silver Bullet Band in 1976 and Night Moves would become his first top-10 hit.

Over the years, Bob Seger has charted more than thirty Top-100 hits.

His honors include induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Bob Seger is still rockin’ and he’ll perform in May at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
