When a Chicago Police Officer ticketed a man panhandling, he noticed his coat wasn’t nearly thick enough for Chicago’s brutal winters.
So he threw his old coat in his squad car hoping to see the man again soon.
Sure enough, a few weeks later, they ran into the man. So Officer Pete White gave him the jacket. But! He didn’t know his partner, Chicago Police Officer Bob Osborne, was filming the whole thing.
It was an extremely touching moment and has since gone viral on Facebook.
Officer White has inspired his whole district now! District 15 is asking for donations of coats, clothes and blankets. Officers will hand them out to the needy.
