Worked On The Radio At Age 11 — Became A Major Star

Big families are rare these days. Can you imagine being the fourth of 12 children? How about working on a radio show when you were just 11-years-old?

Dolly Parton has been there, done that and so much more.

She put 103 hits on the country charts between 1967 and 1997. Dolly also had 20 pop hits.

She opened her Dollywood theme park in 1986 and was the host of her own TV variety show in 1987.

As if that wasn’t enough, Dolly also starred in several movies.

The movie 9 To 5 was released in late 1980. Dolly starred alongside Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dabney Coleman. The theme song from the film would top the charts in February 1981.
