Hall & Oates teamed up in 1972. She’s Gone was first released in 1974 and made it to #60 on the charts. Two years later, the song was re-released and peaked at #7 the second time around.

The Everly Brothers had been the most successful duo in popular music. Hall & Oates replaced them as the #1 charting duo. By 1991, they had placed 34 songs on the Top-100 charts.
