The Beatles Final Appearance On The Ed Sullivan Show

On February 7, 1964 the Beatles arrived in New York to begin their fist American concert tour.

Two days later, 73 million Americans watched the Beatles first performance on CBS television’s Ed Sullivan Show.

Popular music would never be the same.

It was on March 1, 1970 that the lads from Liverpool made their final appearance on Ed Sullivan’s program. The performance was on video tape and included Let It Be and Two Of Us.

Let It Be went on to become the Beatles 19th number 1 hit.

Two Of Us was written by Paul, who claimed the song was dedicated to his future wife Linda Eastman. The song was first released on the Let It Be album.
