Former Blackhawks goaltender Ed Belfour played a whole lot of games in a Hawks jersey.
He played a 415 regular season games over eight seasons and two tours of duty with the franchise.
That’s the third most of anyone in the history of the entire team.
It’s also why it should be no surprise that he’s been asked to handle “One More Shift” on Thursday at the United Center.
So what does that mean?
It means that he’ll join the team on the ice during the National Anthem, just like Denis Savard, Steve Larmer and Jeremy Roenick have done earlier this year, before the Hawks face off with the Dallas Stars on Thursday at the United Center.
