Turntable Tuesday Video: ‘Love Is Alive’ By Gary Wright

Everyone knows the song “Dream Weaver” from Gary Wright’s 1976 album of the same name, but do you know what kicks off the album?

It’s actually “Love Is Alive”, a #2 hit for Wright and spent 27 weeks on the Billboard charts.

For those of you keeping track, that’s actually longer than “Dream Weaver”, the song he’s best known for, spent on the charts!

It’s also been covered by everyone from Chaka Khan to Survivor to even Joe Cocker!

The 73 year old singer still occasionally tours and actually has a show scheduled for June in Gas City, Indiana, which is down between Fort Wayne and Indianapolis if you wanted to take a road trip and go see him!
