Isn’t it Amazon that drove conventional brick and mortar book stores out of business?
That’s why it seems weird that they’ve opened an actual physical bookstore location in the Lakeview neighborhood at Southport and Cornelia.
It’s the fifth Amazon bookstore that’s been opened, but this one is a little different.
The other Amazon bookstores in the Midwest are located in malls, but this one is it’s own free standing store.
CBS 2 says the store, which had it’s first full day of being open yesterday, also has a coffee shop, which is the case in only one of their other stores.
