60 Years Ago Today, Elvis Rocked Chicago

March 28, 1957 – Elvis Presley performed at Chicago’s International Amphitheatre. Elvis wore his famous gold lamé suit for the first time. How much did it cost to see Elvis perform 60 years ago?

Ticket prices ranged from $2.00 – $3.50… and that included taxes!

March 28, 1972 – Elvis recorded a song at R.C.A. Studios in Hollywood. The song would debut in August and rose to #2 on the charts by late October that year. It was the last top-10 hit for The King of Rock And Roll. Listen for it tonight on Turntable Tuesday.

Right now, let’s return to that night in 1957 when Elvis sang this number-1 hit in Chicago.
