All of The Cubs Pregame Ceremonies Took A Long, Long Time!

Let me preface this by saying I’m a HUGE Cubs fan!

Heck, I even live near Wrigleyville!

But did anyone else think that all the pregame ceremonies before last night’s home opener were a little bit too long?

Never mind that there was a rain delay that pushed things back…

Julianna Zobrist first sang God Bless America, which was cool.

Then Wayne Messmer sang the National Anthem.

They also introduced every single member (or at least it felt that way!) of the Cubs organization too!

Finally it was time to raise the flags, which Ryne Sandberg, Fergie Jenkins, Billy Williams and the team did, which I will admit was really cool!

Thing is, after the rain delay and all the pomp and circumstance, it was after 9 PM by the time the game started, which is what I wanted to see!

It was way after midnight after the game ended, but what a 9th inning, huh?

The Cubs ended up beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 3 to 2 thanks to a Rizzo walk-off single!

In case you couldn’t stay up and watch all of it, here’s some of the highlights!
