Sure, in most cases, reindeer are connected with Christmas and not Easter, but this is the exception!
A baby boy reindeer was born at Brookfield Zoo on Wednesday, something that hasn’t happened there since 1980.
So, the one thing that my wife always asks when there’s a new birth is how much the baby weighed.
Well, according to this Brookfield Zoo press release, the little guy weighed seven pounds and is already up and running around!
The baby doesn’t have a name yet, but you have to figure that the Zoo will have some sort of contest to name him like they do with most of their other new arrivals.
Mom and Dad have names though. Mom’s name (ironically, considering it’s Easter) is Bunny and Dad’s name is Karl.
You can see the entire family in the outdoor habitat at Brookfield Zoo.
