It was 1971 when the group first got together in Los Angeles. Two of the founding members had been in Linda Ronstadt’s band.
They recorded their first album in England and in the summer of 1972 Take It Easy became the Eagles first hit single.
In 1982 they disbanded after racking up 19 hit songs (5 were #1 hits) and selling millions of albums.
Sometime after they had broken up, Glenn Frey was asked “When will the Eagles get back together?”
His reply: “When hell freezes over.”
That happened on April 25, 1994 when the band re-formed for the the first of two reunion concerts recorded for the album Hell Freezes Over.
Get Over It was the first single released from the album and peaked at #31 in late 1994.
