The address was 254 West 54th Street in Manhattan. The building was originally an opera house and would later become CBS Radio and television Studio 52.
By 1977 it had been acquired by Steve Rubell and was renamed Studio 54.
April 26th of that year was opening night of the ultra-exclusive club and many celebrities were on the guest list. Donald and Ivana Trump, Mick & Bianca Jagger, Cher, Robin Leach, Salvador Dali, Halston, Liza Minelli and Brooke Shields to name a few!
