When you think of Keith Richards, you automatically think of the Rolling Stones. Keith was just 19 when he and Mick Jagger formed the group and they’re still rocking today.
In addition to his talent as a singer/songwriter/guitarist, Keith Richards is also a film star. He played Captain Jack Sparrow’s father (Captain Teague) in two Pirates of the Caribbean films. Johnny Depp has said that many of Sparrow’s mannerisms are based on Richards.

Rolling Stone magazine ranks him as 4th on their list of 100 Best Guitarists. He’s also a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
While on tour, Keith brings along nearly 60 guitars. His favorites include a Fender Telecaster and Gibson Les Paul.
An unfortunate incident caused the Stones 2006 European tour to be delayed for six weeks. On April 27th in Fiji, Keith suffered a head injury after falling out of a tree. Cranial surgery was performed in New Zealand. He recovered and the band was able to make up most of the tour dates.
