Maybe last night’s game against the Colorado Rockies was a blessing in disguise.
The Cubbies played Sunday against the New York Yankees and lost in 18 innings in a game that ended after 1 AM Monday morning at Wrigley Field.
If that doesn’t stick enough, they immediately had to jump on a plane and fly to Denver to get ready to play the Rockies last night.
They didn’t end up playing last night because of rain and hail in Denver and I have to wonder if many of the players went back to their hotel and crashed early last night.
Not that today will be any easier.
They’ll make up last night’s game that was postponed because of weather this afternoon and then play later tonight in a day/night double header.
