Sometimes it can cost a lot to take your family to a baseball game.
But that won’t be a problem if you take your kids to a game at a soon to be built minor league park in Rosemont.
The City of Rosemont plans to plunk down a pretty big chunk of change to build the stadium for the yet to be named minor league team.
Just how much you ask?
According to The Daily Herald, it’s expected to be somewhere in the ballpark (if you pardon the pun) of $60 million bucks!
The 6,300 seat stadium will have all the bells and whistles that you’d expect but village officials say it’ll still be affordable.
They told Channel 7 that they want to make it so that a family of four can all take in a game, grab some food and have a good time for around $50 bucks!
I’d love it if my former left handed pitcher son, the SIU Saluki grad would try out for that team!
