The Gary Air Show has been a fixture in Northwest Indiana for the last 16 years, but that streak will come to an end this year.
The mayor of Gary Indiana told the Chicago Tribune that they haven’t been able to lineup the sponsors they need.
Without the sponsors, the city simply can’t afford to put the show on in July.
Add that to the fact that the US Air Force Thunderbirds needed to know by yesterday if the show was happening, which apparently it isn’t.
The show could still happen, but doesn’t seem likely.
Kinda sad, but the Chicago Air and Water Show is still happening Aug 19th and 20th near North Avenue Beach, so you still have that!
