An Off Duty Indiana State Trooper Helped Save A Dyer Man’s Life!

If this isn’t the definition of a hero, I┬ádon’t know what is!

The Chicago Tribune says that Trooper Thomas Maymi was off duty when he saw an SUV veer off the road and into the mud on the side of the road near Porter, Indiana.

The driver was actually having a heart attack and the man’s wife grabbed the wheel and this was all she could do to get the vehicle stopped.

Maymi got to the couple, who are from Dyer, Indiana, and pulled the man out of the car, through the mud and water and into an area were he could do chest compression and save the man’s life!

I saw an interview with the trooper were he said that he was “just doing his job.”

That’s more than just doing your job…that’s the true definition of a hero!

Good job Trooper Maymi!
