The Last James Bond Film With Roger Moore Opened On May 24th, 1985

It was 1962, when Sean Connery first portrayed James Bond in Dr. No.  Connery continued in the role for six more films.  His last appearance as agent 007 was in Never Say Never Again.

Coincidentally, 1962 was also the year that Roger Moore first appeared as Simon Templar in The Saint television series.  Then, from 1971 to 1972 he played Lord Brett Sinclair in The Persuaders!

Roger Moore made his debut as James Bond in Live And Let Die (1973).  Moore (like Connery) would star in seven Bond movies altogether.

Roger Moore (89) passed away from cancer in Switzerland on May 23, 2017.

His final James Bond film opened in theaters on May 24th, 1985.  The theme song debuted a week earlier and became a #1 hit.  Here’s A View To A Kill
