Would you climb into a plane with an open cockpit at 93 years old?
Wheeling resident Bob Burns is a World War 2 vet and he had the chance to do just that yesterday!
The whole thing was put together by the Ageless Aviation Foundation who says their mission is to help keep memories alive for older vets and create some newer ones for the younger guys!
Age didn’t stop 93 year old Bob Burns!
The Daily Herald says he happily got on the 1944 bi-plane and went for a ride yesterday!
It’s an open cockpit and has room for just the pilot and one passenger so the air is smacking you right in the face!
Veterans soar with foundation’s help – As the rain falls in northwest suburban Wheeling, these veterans wait. https://t.co/YSjF59WE1w
