Cuz It’s August: ‘Cold Wind In August’ By Van Morrison

When you think of Van Morrrison, you probably think of his song “Brown Eyed Girl”, “Domino” or maybe “Wild Night.”

But considering that today is August 2nd, I figured I’d pick a song you may or may not have heard of.

“A Cold Wind In August” is off of Van Morrison’s 1977 album called “Period of Transition.”

It’s also the last song on the album too!

Listening to it, you’ll hear a real R and B influence on his sound at the time.

Van Morrison, whose real name is George Ivan Morrison, is 71, but still tours.

He does a lot of international dates, but the closest show near here (and it’s not that close at all!) is September 14th in Nashville!
