Throwback Thursday Video: ‘Last Train To Clarksville’ By The Monkees

Did you know that there was a point during the 1960’s where The Monkees outsold The Beatles and The Rolling Stones combined?

Yep, it’s true!

“Last Train To Clarksville” topped the charts in November 1966 and is from the group’s self titled debut album.

It’s also the song that’s been featured in more Monkee’s episodes than any other!

If you watch every episode of the series, you’ll hear them do “Last Train To Clarksville” seven times!

Mickey Dolenz, who sings lead on this song, will actually be in concert on October 15th at the Genesee Theater in Waukegan if you want to see him do this one live!
