Pods Are Returning To Chicago’s Riverwalk

Back in April, I blogged about the sudden appearance of “pods” on the Chicago Riverwalk. Were they alien spacecraft? No.

As you’ll read below, they were placed there by City Winery for the Spring. Guess what? They’re baaaaaaaaaaack!

Everything in my original blog below remains the same except for the new rental dates (9/18 – 11/27/2017) and this link to book your reservation.

I walked across the State Street Bridge recently and something caught my eye. There are giant “pods” on the Chicago Riverwalk!

For a moment, I thought maybe we’d been invaded by aliens. They probably came to see Hamilton. Everyone else does…

It turns out these were actually designed and built by Earthlings. Phew!

Want to see one up close? How about from the INSIDE?

You can rent a City Winery River Dome for 90 minutes. Bring a bunch of friends! You can fit 6 people in there rather comfortably.

What do you get in the dome? I’m so glad you asked. Each one is equipped with comfy seating, heaters, and even Bluetooth speakers! (That will come in handy when listening to 104.3 K-Hits through the Radio.com app.)

Oh, did I mention the carafe of wine, chef-crafted cheese, and charcuterie board? I probably should have led with that part…

It’s supposed to be a very wet weekend. This could be the perfect thing!
