17 Albums And 38 Hit Songs Later, He Starts His Solo Career!

Peter Cetera was born in Chicago on September 13, 1944.  He grew up and became the lead singer/bass guitarist for the group Chicago.

By 1985, Chicago had released 17 albums and charted almost 40 hits.  That’s when Peter left the group and began his solo career.

Peter’s post-Chicago hits include songs he recorded with Amy Grant, Cher, Chaka Khan and others.

Here’s the theme from The Karate Kid Part II.  Glory Of Love was a #1 hit in 1986 and the biggest hit of Peter Cetera’s solo career.
