Throwback Thursday: ‘Rapture’ By Blondie

The song “Rapture” by the group Blondie has a pretty unique distinction.

The song went to #1 on the Billboard charts and was the first song with rap vocals to do so!

BTW-if you’re tring to hunt this song down, you’ll find it on Blondie’s 1980 album, ‘Autoamerican.”

While many people refer to lead singer Deborah Harry as Blondie, that was actually the name of the group that Harry and guitarist Chris Stein formed in the mid-1970’s.

Blondie still tours and will actually be doing a series of shows across the pond in the UK over the next two months.
