Of all the cat memes on the Internet, this one just might take the cake.

The hilarity began quite innocently, when Carol Gambrel placed an order for a cake for her daughter, Laura, who recently graduated from Indiana University.

The Zionsville mother provided a photo of Laura and requested a graduation-themed design, including a “cap” on top of Laura’s head.

Riding The CTA Is About To Be An Artful Experience!

Next time you walk into one of the Red Line stations on the North Side, don’t be surprised if you see some fancy looking artwork hanging on the walls. The CTA plans on displaying the artwork soon, guess it’s their way of adding a little culture to your train ride. Almost 300 people sent stuff in and seven artists were chosen to have their stuff exhibited at the stations. Here’s the weird thing though, only four of the artists are from Chicago! Don’t you think they ALL should be from Chicago? I mean, the stuff is going to be hanging in CTA stations!

As if Millennium Park & Pritzker Pavilion weren’t already awesome enough, they’ve added a new half-million dollar LED screen that’s 40 feet wide and 22-and-a-half feet tall.

Not bad.

They’re breaking that sweet piece of ingenuity in TONIGHT with a showing of the musical ‘Chicago,’ starring Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere. So get down there already!

Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne Living Together Again

After hitting a new low, Ozzy seems to have hit a new high.

And, you know, not the drug kind of high. The cool, hip, “high on life” kinda high.

Not only is Black Sabbath’s new album at the top of the charts, but he just moved back in with his wife, Sharon Osbourne.

Earlier in the year, Ozzy had admitted he’d relapsed into drug abuse. He promised to get clean before his daughter, Kelly Osbourne, got married. In the process, Sharon moved out to supposedly give him the space he needed to get sober.

Apparently it worked.

Clean again, Ozzy’s life seems to have improved tenfold.

It’s nice to see you living with your wife again, Ozzy! Best of luck.

Bob Dylan Spotted Painting Topless Women in Central Park

Bob Dylan ditched his microphone for an easel last Thursday (June 13) when he was spotted in Central Park, seemingly painting portraits of topless models lounging in the grass. The musician tagged along with artist pal Richard Prince for the outing, which has caused a bit of a stir.

While onlookers and art bloggers initially assumed Dylan was basing his work off the live models in front of him, it has been revealed that the inspiration behind his painting is actually a photo of Italian actress Sonia Aquino by fashion photographer Bruno Bisang. This comes over a year in the wake of his 2011 painting scandal, in which Dylan was confronted with the very same issue of basing his work off of existing photographs. Some even speculate as to whether Dylan even painted the latest work himself at all, or if Richard Prince might have lent an artistic hand. Critics of Dylan’s past shows addressed the probability of his work acting as social commentary rather than art, making the integrity of its originality irrelevant.

After three years of dealing with vocal cord paresis — the paralyzing of a vocal cord — Art Garfunkel is performing again.

As long as your cell phone doesn’t go off.

While playing a show in Long Island at the Great Neck Art Center, Art Garfunkel walked off stage because an audience member was toying with their phone.

The audience member, Jon Kaiman, claimed he was turning it off so it would stop buzzing.

The night wasn’t a total waste. Garfunkel eventually came back out, Kaiman apologized and the show went on.

Silence your cell phones BEFORE the show starts, people. You never know when an artist might be feeling like a diva.

Prince’s Roller Skating Adventure With Questlove & Eddie Murphy

What does Prince do to have fun? According to an excerpt from Questlove’s forthcoming memoir, Mo’ Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove, he likes to roller skate.

Slate recently published an excerpt from the book. It starts when Questlove gets a text from one of Prince’s assistants: “It said that there was going to be a roller‑skating party that night, for Valentine’s Day, and that I should bring some cool people.”

And it gets funnier from there.

It’s the middle of the night, Prince is nowhere to be seen, the only “cool” person Questlove could snatch was Eddie Murphy (who is, you know, pretty cool)… and then, finally, Prince shows up.

That’s when it gets weird.

Ron Wood On The Rolling Stones’ Future: ‘We’ve Just Got To Find The Gaps To Record’

With the Rolling Stones’ U.S. tour winding down (it comes to a close June 24 in Washington, D.C.), the question among fans is: Will this be the last time the band plays the states? The name of their tour – 50 & Counting – doesn’t really shout “farewell tour.”

Guitarist Ron Wood — still the “new guy” in the band, though he joined in 1975 — recently called Boston classic rock station WZLX (a Radio.com station) to chat with DJ Chuck Nowlin a bit about his love of the city, recalling visiting Boston on tour when he was the bass player in the Jeff Beck Group, and chatting with WZLX DJ Peter Wolf (of the J. Geils Band).

As for the present, Wood says that the band has been in great shape on this tour.

“We’re playing better than ever,” he said. “The shows are the best we’ve ever done.”
